MON-PM-3 Power & Energy Meters - 3-Phase

OVERVIEW

The MON-PM-3 is a 3-Phases Power meter that uses powerline communication to transmit its different measurements, to a PC located on the same Powerline network, or to a Powerline-Ethernet modem that will transmit these results anywhere on the Internet.

The following measurements can be sampled for each phase:

  • Active / reactive / apparent energy
  • Active / reactive / apparent power
  • Power factor actual voltage rms
  • Actual current rms for each phase
  • Periodic transmission of the active energies

The MON-RT-PM-3 represents an important element of the DimOnOff® Building automation series, enabling Remote data acquisition of power consumption through time, and therefore, making it simple and economical to establish a network of Sub-meters that will help engineers better understand when and where power is consumed, and help them bring enlightened control & automation solutions to reduce the costs of energy.

All data communicated through the powerline will be recorded by the DimOnOff® Configuration, Control & Monitoring software, to build historical datasets and analysis graphs.

For monitoring remote sites (equipped with an Internet connection), use the DimOnOff Powerline-Ethernet modem (MOD-ETH). The standalone Modem is ideal for enabling Remote Monitoring & Control, Scheduling, Diagnostic and Automation of remote sites, communicating with a central host computer through an Ethernet network.
No PC is necessary at the remote site; only an Ethernet connection at both remote and central host site, and a Server-PC at the central host site.

With the pervasive internet, the opportunity is in creating value proposition in building automation. By using the simplicity and power of the DimOnOff powerline systems, data from the various power meters can be aggregated at a central server (remote from the point of measure) and used as an Input for Monitoring & Targeting systems, or ESCO's - Engineering firms that derive revenues from energy consumption analysis & savings of commercial / industrial buildings.
