OVERVIEW
Developed following the growing success of the 6-lamp T5HO fluorescent lighting fixtures, DimOnOff engineered an XB wireless mesh communication control relay with 3 independent outputs, which allows the remote control of 3 loads of 3 amps each at up to 347V.
No control wire to install. This addressable and intelligent relay is a real cost-saver on installation fees, because it connects directly on the existing electrical wires, and does not need any additional control wire. It uses radio frequencies to communicate with the various DimOnOff controls, and greatly facilitates automation and the deployment of energy management policies, such as:
- Control of Lighting levels: possibility of 4 levels when used with 3 ballasts
- Timers and Pre-programmed Scenarios
- Scheduling
This relay is used in conjunction with one or several controls such as:
- Remote control Programmable keypads (CTL-KEY)
- Presence sensors or Light sensors (Sensor board INT-MIO or INT-EO)
- Directly with the DimOnOff® Configuration, Control, Monitoring & Automation Software using a MOD-XBDM USB modem.
With the different modules of the DimOnOff product line, complex automation environments can be engineered and operated simply and more economically than traditional wired systems.

PROGRAMMABLE FUNCTIONS
• The REL-XB-3X3 offers various programmable functions, such as :
o Automatic On, on power up
o Individual control of 1-2-3 outputs
o Selection/Activation of 1 or 2 outputs that have accumulated the least burn-time, in order to use lamps and ballasts uniformly (dynamic burn-time balancing)
• Possibility to configure usage of only 2 outputs, for the dynamic burn-time balancing
o Reset of counters of each output usage
o Generic Timers: Sends a command, then wait for a specified number of seconds before executing the next command. It is possible to chain up to 5 Generic timers or Delayed timers, to create sequences (5 programmable Generic timers available)
o Delayed Timers: Wait for a specified number of seconds before executing a command. (5 programmable Delayed timers available)
PROGRAMMABILITY
The REL-XB-3X3 relays are configurable modules. Each relay can be easily programmed in order to implement personalized set-ups. DimOnOff® Inc. has designed a full-featured software platform, for the complete management of a DimOnOff® infrastructure, including:
- Module configuration
- Creation/Editing of the user-defined Scenarios - Commands - Groups - Schedules
- Creation/Editing of Multi-buildings, Multi-floors, Multi-rooms interface and Module layouts
- Communication management with Remote Ethernet modems
- Data logging and reporting

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Disconnect power at the circuit breaker before installation.
- Open the electrical junction box and identify the Line, Neutral and Ground wires. Identify the conductor that supplies power to the load that you want to control.
- Attach the REL-XB-3X3 outside of the electrical box using the module mounting bracket. Connect the supply Ground wire (G) together with the module mounting bracket.
- Disconnect the Line wire that had supplied power to the load that you want to control.
- Connect the disconnected wire of the load to the Blue lead (Output 1), Orange lead (Output 2) or Purple lead (Output 3) of the REL-XB-3X3. Connect the supply Line wire (L) to the Black lead of the REL-XB-3X3.
- If using only 2 outputs, leave Purple lead unused. Protect with marette.
- Connect the white lead of the REL-XB-3X3 together with the supply Neutral wire (N).
- Use screw wire connectors for all connections. Check that all connections are tight and there is no exposed bare conductor.
- Place wires and module into the electrical box.
• Close the box and restore power.
