Powerline Lux Sensors
OVERVIEW / DOO-RT-LUX
The DOO-RT-LUX is a Lux sensing powerline transceiver that allows easy interfacing with DimOnOff Load modules for Dimming ballasts (DOO-R-LMDB-2.5), transmitting light-level adjustment commands over the power lines.
The module features interactive Groups configuration for addressing a virtual group of dimming ballasts, and Luminosity deadband for adjustment of the required variation of light before the Lux sensor sends a new level-adjustment command to the group of ballasts.
The DOO-RT-LUX represents an essential element of the DimOnOff® Building automation series, enabling:
- Daylight harvesting: automatic adjustment of lighting level according to the conditions of the environment
- Automatic Control of remote loads (Software Configurable Groups of electronic ballasts) via the powerline transmission of Power-up, shutdown and Ramp-up & Dimming Commands
With these different powerline modules, complex automation environments can be designed and operated.

PROGRAMMABILITY
The DOO-RT-LUX sensors are configurable modules. Each sensor can be easily programmed in order to implement personalized set-ups. DimOnOff® Inc. has designed a full-featured software platform, for the complete management of a DimOnOff® powerline infrastructure, including:
- Module configuration
- Module polling
- Creation/Editing of the user-defined library of Scenarios - Commands - Groups - Schedules
- Creation/Editing of Multi-buildings, Multi-floors, Multi-rooms navigation interface and Module layouts
- Database management
- Communication management with Remote Powerline-Ethernet modems
- Data logging
- Etc.
CAUTIONS AND NOTES
Only used were . 90°C wiring is used.
These devices are intended for installation in accordance with your local electric code and regulations. It is recommended that a qualified electrician perform this installation
WIRING EXAMPLE
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Disconnect power at the circuit breaker before installation
- Install the 8 x 8 x 4 DOO-RT-LUX enclosure into the suspended ceiling or in the electrical room.
- The Dimonoff Lux sensing modules DOO-RT-LUX can be connected to the same fixtures feeding breaker using a octagonal junction box, or connected to the breaker panel.
- Open the electrical compartment and identify the Line, Neutral and Ground wires. Identify the conductor that supplies power to the load that you want to control.
- Disconnect the Line wire that had supplied power to the load that you want to control.
- Connect the white lead of the DOO-RT-LUX together with the supply Neutral wire (N) on the terminal in the 8 x 8 x 4 enclosure.
- Connect the 0-5 Vdc control wire to the proper terminal inside the 8 x 8 x 4 enclosure,
- Close the compartment cover and restore power.
