Voltage Coupler
OVERVIEW / DOO-RT-VCP-2 and DOO-RT-VCP-3
The DOO-RT-VCP-2 and DOO-RT-VCP-3 Voltage couplers are designed to couple the communication signals on different voltage lines of a power system.
The module is connected between the Repeater transceiver and the power lines, enabling the Coupling-Repeating functionality (see fig. 1). Therefore, the communication signals are transmitted to and received from all connected lines.
The DOO-RT-VCP-2 and DOO-RT-VCP-3 can also be used as a passive coupler, when they are connected only to the power lines (fig. 2). In this case, the communication signals generated on one voltage pass to the other voltages.

CAUTIONS AND NOTES
- The DOO-RT-VCP-2 and DOO-RT-VCP-3 must be installed into an electrical box with proper size.
- Only used for junction boxes where min. 90°C wiring is used.
- These devices are intended for installation in accordance with your local electric code and regulations. It is recommended that a qualified electrician perform this installation.
WIRING EXAMPLE
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Disconnect power at the circuit breaker before installation
- Open the electrical compartment and identify the Line, Neutral and Ground wires. Identify the conductor that supplies power to the load that you want to control.
- Attach the DOO-RT-VCP-X inside the electrical compartment using the module mounting bracket. Connect the supply Ground wire (G) together with the module mounting bracket and the grounding screw.
- Disconnect the Line wire that had supplied power to the load that you want to control.
- Connect the disconnected wire of the fixture to the Blue lead of the DOO-RT-VCP-X.
- Connect the supply Line wire (L) to the Black lead of the DOO-RT-VCP-X.
- Connect the white lead of the DOO-RT-VCP-X together with the supply Neutral wire (N).
- Place wires and module into the fixture .
- Close the compartment cover and restore power.
