Powerline RF Repeater
OVERVIEW / DOO-RT-MIO-RF
The DOO-RT-MIO-RF is a Powerline communication Rx/Tx (Transmit/Receive) module that enables simple coupling of powerline communication between different types of voltages, or even different power systems on both sides of a transformer, by using data transmission over a low-power RF signal at a 2.4GHz radio frequency.
- By using 2 DOO-RT-MOI-RF modules, it becomes easy, economical and simple to:
- Build an "aerial data bridge", enabling communication between 2 sides of a transformer,
- or between 2 systems of a different voltage, without having to build a physical electronic passive bridge which would be more costly to install (Ex: Powerline communication signal repeated between 347-1 and 120VAC)
Note : The Powerline signal does not travel through a transformer, and difficultly through Bus-bars usually with high loads and very low impedance
With these powerline communication modules, complex automation environments can be developed simply and commissioned quickly and economically.

CAUTIONS & NOTES
- The DOO-RT-MIO-RF must be installed into an electrical box with proper size. Typically, an electrical metallic enclosure 8" x 8" x 4"
- Only used for junction boxes where min. 90°C wiring is used.
- These devices are intended for installation in accordance with your local electric code and regulations. It is recommended that a qualified electrician perform this installation.
- A transmitter is required to communicate with the module and is sold separately. (Specify DOO-Mod-USB or DOO-Mod-Eth to be used with DimOnOff® Configuration, Control & Monitoring software)
