Measurement and Verification (M&V) is a process to confirm the actual energy or water savings realized from a energy or water performance project once the project is implemented and operational. Measurement and verification works as a risk management tool in performance-based energy efficiency projects. Financial payments are tied with the performance of the project (energy savings) and by developing a cost-effective M&V strategy, can reduce their respective risks. The energy service provider can prove with the help of M&V that the savings are real and the energy service receiver can hold the provider accountable if there is a shortfall in energy savings.

The DimOnOff power-metering system is easy to set up because it uses the powerline (electric wires running through your building) to transmit information from one point to another. The installation is quick.
The data is then sent by the Powerline modem embedded Ethernet port, to a local or remote server that will automatically process it and format it for an easy to read and understand graphic display, or send the accumulated data via FTP to an energy management service company of your choice.
