We will join this May 22-24 fellow smart lighting leaders at the UMQ’s Assises 2024 annual conference held in Montréal
A Smart Management System for Electric Vehicle Charging Stations in Multi-Unit Buildings
Dimonoff is proud to announce a collaborative project with Recharge Véhicule Électrique (RVE) aiming to intelligently manage the charging of electric vehicles in multi-unit residential buildings. This innovative project, valued at more than $5.4 million, is made possible by a $2.7 million financial contribution from the MEIE (Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Energy), which is committed to encouraging the transition to cleaner, more sustainable mobility.
The implementation of a new generation of smart charging management systems for electric vehicles will manage energy distribution and power control to reduce the impact on the electrical network. This new technology will also enable better use of available electrical energy.
Both organizations are working to address the challenges of energy supply, capacity and transmission to meet the growing demand for electric vehicle charging.
Prioritizing Home Charging in the Context of Multi-Unit Housing
This innovative project will increase the accessibility of charging to all Quebecers living in multi-unit buildings. In addition, it will help free up more than 4,000 MW on the electrical network during peak periods."This innovative project, which is based on a collaborative and mobilizing approach, will increase the accessibility of recharging to nearly 40% of the Quebec population, namely those living in multi-unit buildings."
David Corbeil, President of RRM and Recharge Véhicule électrique
"To decarbonize Quebec's transportation sector, we need a high-performance network of charging stations. This mobilizing project will allow us to pursue the electrification of our transportation, a key element in our energy transition objectives."
Pierre Fitzgibbon, Minister of the Economy, Innovation and Energy, Minister responsible for Regional Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Metropolis and the Montréal region
Smart Management of Electric Vehicle Charging for a More Sustainable Future
This initiative was selected following a call for collaborative and mobilizing projects for the development of technologies related to the transportation of tomorrow, launched by the government in July 2022, and more specifically under the Support for mobilizing projects aimed at developing innovative products in the electric vehicle industry.
As part of the Plan for a Green Economy 2030, which is Quebec’s first policy framework for electrification and the fight against climate change, the government aims to have two million electric vehicles on Quebec roads by 2030.
With the financial contribution granted to this project, the government is affirming its commitment to green mobility that is more respectful of the environment, while contributing to the province’s economic growth.
"Quebec is developing a green and prosperous economy. With this mobilizing project, we want to maintain our competitive edge in transportation electrification research and development. This is an area of the future in which we want to excel."
Christopher Skeete, Minister for the Economy, Minister responsible for the Fight against Racism and Minister responsible for the Laval region
"The future of electric mobility depends on intelligent management of electric vehicle charging. By working with RVE, we wanted to provide a technological, hardware and software solution to enable all buildings to be equipped with a large number of charging stations in a safe and optimal manner. In this way, we contribute to maintaining existing electrical infrastructures while improving their performance.”
Bernard Têtu, president and founder of Dimonoff

VP Business Development. Projects are driving my career. Managing successfully complex teams and complex projects with key developers is a great feeling. Realizing the best solution to a problem is the only reward. If it is new, if it helps somehow to resolve a problem, if there is a balance between challenge and budget. It is made for me!
