Dimonoff took part in the 102nd annual meeting of the Union des municipalités du Québec, held from 22 to 24 May 2024 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, at booth 46 of the Salon Espace Affaires.
The UMQ has represented Quebec municipalities of every size since 1919, and its members account for more than 85 percent of the province’s population and territory. The Assises is where those municipalities compare notes on what works, which makes it a practical place to show what a lighting network reports back once it is connected.
Two Quebec deployments were the reference points on the stand. The Fédération québécoise des municipalités programme shows how group purchasing gives small towns the pricing and capability a large city negotiates on its own. Varennes shows municipal lighting operated in step with Hydro-Québec’s grid requirements.
