The borough of Saint-Laurent converted 10,100 existing streetlights to LED. The work formed part of the borough’s 2021-2030 ten-year capital plan, a $97 million programme with energy efficiency among its stated aims.

The 10,100 fixtures are managed through the Dimonoff platform, which gives borough staff real-time control of the whole set: light levels adjusted where needed, consumption measured as it happens, and faults reported by the fixture rather than found on patrol.
Saint-Laurent is one piece of a larger conversion. The City of Montréal replaced 132,500 streetlights across 19 boroughs, a $110 million investment, and selected the same platform to manage them. The City’s published targets are 35 percent lower energy costs and 55 percent lower maintenance costs, both documented with their source in the Montréal case study.
